Safety and Health Auditing

Safety and Health Auditing

CRA provides skilled professionals to perform comprehensive review and evaluations of existing safety and health programs through workplace hazard assessments and detailed, systematic program audits.  CRA's goal is to provide clients with an independent review of the effectiveness of their operational safety and health program, as well as to determine compliance with current safety legislation, consensus standards, and industry best practices.

CRA uses a standard approach and methodology to conduct the audit, which includes the following:

  • An initial pre-audit meeting
  • A physical facility inspection
  • Review of available records
  • Interview of facility personnel
  • Personnel observations and review of practices
  • An exit briefing
  • An audit report

CRA can modify this audit process to meet client-specific needs.

Additionally, CRA provides complete audit tracking and documentation as part of our auditing process i:Manage Environmental Health and Safety suite of services, including the following activities:

  • Upload audit results from an auditing program via your web browser
  • Optionally, upload via a handheld device
  • Track action items and look for overdue tasks
  • Generate reports on current corrective action status
  • Provide email notifications and email reminders
  • Provide numerous security levels for viewing, entering, and approving corrective actions
