CRA is a leader in the development of bioreactor technology.  We have used bioreactor technology on a number of sites to deal with municipal solid waste disposal issues and have done much of the early development work for this specific specialty area since the early 1980s.  We have designed fully environmentally controlled landfills that employ extensive leachate recirculation and other technologies to increase landfill gas production rates and manage the decomposition processes in the bioreactor.  CRA's bioreactor services include:
